La Casina di Eleonora

Couldn't find nicer people than these! Casina is perfect, away from the bustle of Florence's main quarter. So quiet in the middle of olive orchards and birdsong. It is a 20 min ride from Santa Maria Novella station, but once we mastered the tram it was an easy commute. Would absolutely recommend if you want peace and quiet after a day's sightseeing.

If you had a car, it was possible to get to the heart of Florence by tram. Parking at the tram stop was free. The location was quiet. The garden and surroundings were beautiful. Possibility of heating at any time.

Not recommended for allergy sufferers as something in the bedroom caused irritation.

We loved the location! Some may want to be in Florence until they are there! Cozy, quiet and clean!

It was a beautiful home. Peaceful, quiet and just serene. It is how you will imagine a Florence home to be. Eleonora and her entire family are the greatest hosts. Kind and very very helpful. They made sure we found their place and even drove us to the train station many times! We are just grateful to have met such amazing hosts! Thank you again Eleonora and family!

Nothing. Bring food supplies if you do not have your own car as it can be challenging to go around.

What an incredible place!! It is nature pure. There as a peacock in the garden, you can easily take walks from there (which I did daily), and it was such a peaceful place to write. If you're looking for nature and some time to disconnect - this is for you!! Great fully stocked kitchen & washing machine as well. :) The tram station is a 7 min drive so you can easily get into Florence in around 25-30 mins as well.

The wifi is 1 bar or none - this is more of an offline place. Cell service works though!

The apartment is in a very nice location in fields above Firenze. That means no problems with parking the car, quiet place ideal for a family and a very nice view on the whole valley and Firenze nearby. The owner was flexible with timing and waited for us in the evening to show us the road to the apartment. The apartment is close enough to the highway and also to the border of Firenze where you can park your car and switch to a tram which goes to the city center.

The place is surrounded by many olive trees and very silent. The garden is very beautiful and has privacy and perfect for a dog. Our dog can enjoy the garden. The owner prepared special towel and treats for a dog!
