Underneath the Arches

We had a lovely stay here! Would highly recommend and if we’re ever in the area again we will definitely try and book here.

We were attending a funeral so location perfect. I am sure the breakfast would be good but we are black coffee only in the morning.

Well equipped. Excellent welcome pack with bread, tea, coffee, etc.

Lack of fire in the lounge. Dining table rather small. Not as cosy as it could be. Kitchen too small for self-catering.

This property is the perfect place where to relax! the property is very well looked after and the attention to detail makes it that extra special. The house and the building are beautiful. Central to Penicuik close to all shops, pubs and bus stops. Such a beautiful property with beautiful green views in a very quiet area. The host was fantastic, very responsive and verry accommodating. This house was super clean and all bed linen and towels smelt amazing! the bed is just a snug! loved it all! Loved the selection of books and DVD for a relaxing night in!

Nothing bad to say!

Very comfortable, clean, quiet and well-equipped little flat that suited us really well for our stay. On-street parking was much easier than we'd expected. Local shops from small independents to big supermarkets very convenient. Host was very helpful too and we'd certainly recommend.

A wonderful, well appointed property, in a fantastic quiet location. It was exceptionally well stocked with everything we needed and much more. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch too. Great to be able to read about the history of Under the Arches. Thanks for helping our first of many more visits to Scotland, be a memorable one.

Clean and comfortable. Local shops very close. Plenty of parking on the street. Some tea, bread and milk waiting for us on arrival.
