Sea La Vie - Waiheke Island Luxury Accommodation

It was beautiful, clean and comfortable. A very peaceful accomodation with an awesome view of the water

The view is magic and the location superb. Everything is comfortable and stylish.

Beautiful views from the lounge, comfy bed, lovely bathroom and kitchen facilities. Lovely waking up to the chorus of birds. Fabulous out door seating and barbie area along with a table to have meals at overlooking the views. Stunning 😍

Was a little far out but very peaceful, definitelyneed a car to get to and from the house as there is no close bus routes. Room got guite hot overnight - there was a fan bit it didn't really cool the room.

Fabulous spot, clean, modern and very well considered and appointed with stunning views down to onetangi beach. Chrissy the host was delightful and helpful.

It was located up a skinny winding road that serviced the Ecozip, so it was cautious drive up and down. Needed a car to visit. Parking available onsite.

Location quiet, great views

Tea and coffee provided could have been a little more interesting

I really liked the location of Sea La Vie, high up on Trig Hill, nestled among the trees. This means there is a great view of Onetangi Bay and beyond. You can easily spend hours just looking out, watching the birds (I loved seeing the kaka parrot family) and feeling very relaxed in the green environment. The property is landscaped with interesting plantings, including many native species. Walking to the beach and back via the steep winding lanes was an easy way to fit exercise into the daily schedule. The grocery shop is handy and very well-stocked for cooking at the house, alternatively there are several choices for eating out down at the beach.

I was surprised a coffee plunger or cafetiere or similar was not provided. NZ is famous for good quality coffee, so most visitors would probably expect a coffee-bean based system to be provided. It could be explained in the instruction sheet that coffee grinds cause havoc with the septic tank. This would enable people to be aware and behave accordingly, whether they brought their own coffee and plunger with them, or used a system provided at Sea La Vie.

The view is spectacular. The place is spotless and modern. Chrissy is a very welcoming host.

For 2 people and big luggage it might get a little crowded.
