Apartment Vidus Wine Estate

A wonderful warm welcome from our gracious host marked the start of a great stay. The apartment is in an exquisite part of the country, very quiet and chilled out but a great base for exploring. The apartment is as it is on the website, very well appointed, we had everything we needed. The best part was discovering a new wine I absolutely love!

Nothing to improve on!

Great personal welcome with a glass of wine. Before arrival we went for a walk to Vipava Old Castle, also really nice. The accommodation is very peacefull and it has everything you need. We would higly recommend, as we did, to ask the host Janko for a wine tasting in the evening. That was a lovely experience and his wife really knows how to prepare snacks to accommodate the tasting. Really great value for the money. And ofcourse buy some wine to take home ;)

What a pleasant surprise! Frankly, I didn’t know what to expect but I was certainly WOWed! Greeted warmly by Yuncle (my spelling, probably not his), given a brief look at his winemaking operations as we toasted a glass of his white wine. Delicious. He took me through the nicely appointed apartment, showing me where everything was and how various appliances worked. I settled in easily and toured the gorgeous, historical estate on my own, taking bunches of pictures.

The apartment was clean and spacious. The highlight, however, was wine tasting with Janko. He was super friendly, very knowledgeable, and the wine and homemade snacks were delicious!

Nothing!

Janko is such a fabulous host, so welcoming, very funny and an excellent wine maker! Once we arrived at this little oasis, we wished we had planned to stay more than one night. Our kids loved exploring the grounds and we enjoyed dinner and breakfast under the trees. The apartment is very comfortable and fully equipped with everything you could need.

A real professional wine making facility. The host is very enthusiastic, offers a tour and its own good wine tasting. Nice apartment with very functional kitchen.

No restaurant near by working late in the evening, so need to come earlier or have own food to prepare at the kitchen.

Hospitality and facilities.

What a delight to be greeting with a lovely glass of wine and a tour. The apartment was meticulously clean and has everything you need. We were even able to do some laundry and coffee supplies including milk and sugar are ready for you. We were even given a ride to the best local restaurant because we were on bikes. We will definitely be back.
