Peaceful and private as located off a small side street. One of several small apartments in a 200 year old Cretan traditional stone and wood building. All apartments seem to have slightly different configurations. Our facilties were all good. Plenty of space with a comfortable bed, adequate kitchen facilities, large functional bathroom, lovely balcony for our own use. Great location in the heart of a quiet village with many varied choices of restaurants, tavernas, and bars. Service excellent, Zacharias was welcoming, warm, and always available if needed.

It was very difficult to find fault. However, one slight annoyance was the noise of the water pump (or macerator) when taps were running, toilets being flushed in the building.

There is a washing machine in the apartment, making it easy to do laundry.

We had to wait about an hour for the cleaning lady to finish and have the coom ready. This happened even though we had given our time of arrival well in advance. This forced us to wait in the heat after a long car ride. When the manager finally came, there was no apology or acknowledgement of our inconvenience. The TV did not work despite the listing in Booking.com saying we would have TV access. Worse yet, when I asked the manager about this, he just said previous guests had broken it by "looking for their channels." Again, no apology. The bathroom needs a complete update. It's quite gross. The mirror is old and dirty. It wasn't cleaned well prior to our arrival either. Sadly, the refrigerator doesn't work well either. It doesn't cool water in a timely manner. We found dead insects on the floor and near the very dusty lamps. The bedsheet was missing from double bed, which we only realised late at night--too late practically to notify anyone. We mentioned this at check-out and the manager said he'd have been available any time of night to correct this, though he never gave us a phone number to call.

Super location. Beautiful old building & room full of admosphere. Very fine beds. Zacharias was very friendly and relaxed. Outside a sea of flowers. The breakfastplace / café just around the corner was the best! Also highly recommandable in the evening, for drinks and dinner(-bites).

If I have to say something: the bathroom was a bit small. But no problem. Place is very good value for money.
