Menlyn Maine Residence Unit 1419 & 1028

My room was nice, i liked the layout.

would have been better if breakfast ended at 10;30 with more variety. The property is ok, i didn't like that i have to pass through the dinning area to go to my room. dinning area too close to the room.

All special requests directed to the host was honored. The unit was as expected and advertised very tastefully decorated. Since I am familiar with the complex and other units the facilities provided are outstanding and always of a higher standard.

The surrounding areas close to the apartment block and especially the parking area in front of complex when keys are to be collected was chaotic especially on Thursday night. I had to address the reception staff and security to immediately resolve the mess with regard to unwanted cars who was not tenants of the building to remove their vehicles so one could have access to the building for the purpose of collecting keys/booking in.

I loved everything about the place, it's neat and has beautiful decor.

It was an apartment - so no breakfast. I thought the rating of above 9 on bookings.com would mean this would be the best place to stay - SO WRONG. The bed was good (though small). The apartment was big - but it meant NOTHING - too big a shower, too small a toilet. I BATTLED TO FIND WHAT I LIKE - IT WAS A HORRIBLE STAY AND I WOULD NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN

The microwave door could never be close - the minute you closed it, it made a noise. There was a half a roll of toilet paper and no spare - we ended up using kitchen towel in the toilet. There was an empty can of toilet freshener in the toilet on the floor - so, no toilet freshener. The bedside lamps did not work- they were not plugged in. We had to move furniture to plug one in; the other one's plug was broken. There were 3 groups of people at the reception desk when we checked in. We were asked whether we stayed in apartments or hotel - we stayed in apartment 1419 (to this day I do not know about a hotel there). OK - so all of us were for apartments and we waited for about 20 minutes, while two staff members were doing nothing (allegedly hotel staff) - PLEASE ADVSIE WHICH HOTEL???
