The Hidden Asset- Rothesay, Isle of Bute

Great place, fab views, (check out the photos from the living area) everything you needed and very central.

Too much light coming through the bedroom curtains when in bed. Blackout blinds would be a bonus.

The property was centrally located with easy access to local shops and the seafront. Its first floor position part way up the hill meant exceptional views over the bay. It was clean and furnished to a very high standard. The host responded promptly to any problems and close family on hand meant these were quickly resolved. The kitchen was well equipped, with microwave plate warmers and cover, a rarity.

One of the double rooms only had one bedside light. Instruction manuals for unfamiliar appliances would have been helpful. Most are to be found on Google but we suspect damage had occurred when previous guests used them incorrectly. Two side plates are hardly adequate in a property equipped for four - no doubt earlier breakages were waiting replacement.

The views from the property are stunning. The living/dining/kitchen is spacious with comfortable seating and the view was ever changing. We loved watching the ferries arrive and depart and the yachts move past. Sunrise was spectacular. The bedrooms are compact. The bathroom is very modern and functional. It was an easy drive to everywhere on the beautiful island from here. A lovely place to stay which I thoroughly recommend.

Minor points - we needed more side plates and a large glass bowl!

What a lovely property, so bright with amazing views. Everything was in good taste and everything very clean and very comfortable. Kitchen was good, equipment and layout, very comfortable living space and bedrooms, good space for clothing. Heating (always important for those occasional damp days!) was easy to use. Given the keys and a very helpful rundown by the hosts Grandfather, who was great - lovely to have met him! All in all a great stay and would highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay, lovely apartment, beautiful view from the living room that we enjoyed watching boats come and go . Nice little decorations around apartment making it feel very homely. Comfortable beds and a really nice bathroom, it was clean and warm and made our stay in Rothesay enjoyable, And our dog enjoyed it too!

The hill lol! Took a few days to get used to, if your coming without transport like we did beware of the hill to the apartment might not suit everyone. Couldn't get wifi to connect to our phones or tablet, but wasn't really an issue Could do with access to a garden, missed sitting out in a garden, but found a nice area to sit just across from apartment
