Ortigia, Sicily! what a quaint town full of restaurants, shops, markets and history.

Our host could have given us more than a days notice that the G7 meeting was in town. It ruined pretty much everything. There was no parking, extremely crowed, attractions closed. The charm of the whole town was covered by booths, and advertisements.

The view was amazing.

Perfect place in Ortigia, in particular at sunset.

The position was perfect - right in the old city The view from the apartment was wonderful Comfortable bed Good facilities - incl washing machine Anna - was most helpful and a great communicator

Shower was very small - which we were expecting from other reviews

We loved Casa Sveva! Such an amazing location, spectacular sea views and sunset. The place was also really pretty and quaint, and our host, Anna, was extremely helpful. She booked us cabs, gave us excellent tips on where to eat and drink. It was really exceptional.

We liked everything :-) But there are a few flights of stairs to get to the flat.

• Amazing location in the Ortigia, close to so many cute shops and restaurants • Amazing views of the ocean from the apartment • Aircon works a charm throughout the apartment which is required during a heatwave in Sicily! • Bedroom can get nice and dark which is perfect for sleeping in during summer • The host provided a large 2L bottle of water in the fridge (required as we didn’t realise the tap water in Ortigia isn’t the best for drinking, thanks!), coffee, tea, and all the cooking supplies like oil, garlic, onion (we didn’t use during our time there but appreciate the sentiment) • excellent communication with the host during our stay via WhatsApp who answered any questions or queries we had, thanks! • overall great value for money. Perfect for a single or couple!

• people mentioned the size of the shower a lot in the reviews - we were two women in our late twenties so even though it was a little tight, we could still fit fine! There was someone else’s hair left on the shower hose from another guest, but the rest of the apartment was spotless and the host was great so this didn’t bother us so much.
