The Old Riverton Post on Route 66

Something really different in the middle of our road trip and so nice to kick back and relax in this well appointed apartment. We were provided with a fantastic breakfast basket and the owner went to a lot of trouble to ensure we were happy. There's plenty of tea and coffee provided. The property has a great Route 66 vibe with lots of original fixtures and fittings in the kitchen and bathroom. My husband was delighted to find some great bird watching at the river down the road and spotted hundreds of pelicans, a bald eagle and a beaver. We sat out on the balcony even though it was cold. Thank you we hope to come back some day!

Kitchen drawers a bit wonky because they're original fittings and we could have done with a bread knife - but apart from that everything was perfect - thank you!

Loved the space in the kitchen and living and dining rooms. But the beds were too small.

Everything was good except the beds. Had we known that we would be dealing with 2 full size beds. We would have brought out air mattresses from home. The mattress in the closet does not hold air.

Exceptional property. The layout and the comfort was second to none

Ohhh a warning for that step from lounge to front balcony would have been appreciated; dodgy ankle and the extra unexpected drop was a bit scary ... but adjusted :)

Quiet, relaxing, close to lots of food options.

It is a very cute and cozy place. We had a great resting time there.

It took us back to the 50s. Such fun!

Because it’s in an older building with creaky wooden floors, it was noisy.

Quite open space with nice outdoor area and walking trail next door, perfect for a couple and a dog.

The stairs are no problem except for carrying bags. A pulley lift for bags would be great!

Very cute place, very nicely decorated, off the beaten path but still close to everything we wanted to do.
