Great location in old town, very close to ferry to Troia, the municipal market, Pingo Doce. Spacious apartment, well decorated, well equipped, including a washing machine and clothes washing detergent

Bed Pillows! Get some quality bed pillows and more than 1 per person. A little more advanced detailed information on the process for initially accessing the apartment would be helpful (especially for us older folks).

It’s location was very central and it was clean

The property while clean and very centrally located, had a bunch of issues. Firstly, I got locked into my room on the first day because the door handle randomly broke from the inside. Management was able to fix it that day though but it still wasn’t a great start to the trip. Secondly, we realized the balcony doors for all the bedrooms did not lock from the inside. When I asked management for the key, they said they didn’t have it and it just had to remain unlocked which we were not comfortable with. While management offered us a refund and to check out, by that point it was already evening and it wasn’t realistic to be able to find another place that fit our criteria at a moment’s notice so we just had to live with the unlocked doors which didn’t feel reassuring. Thirdly, while simply moving one of the dining room chairs, it disintegrated in my hands and broke apart randomly. Luckily it did not happen while anyone was sitting in it otherwise it could have led to injuries. Fourth, the windows in the living room kept rattling with the wind and letting a cold draft through and wouldn’t seal shut no matter how much we pushed them back into place. It was very frustrating. This flat has the potential to be a great stay if only it is better maintained. I would recommend that the hosts themselves perhaps stay some nights in the flat to realize all the little nuisances that arise

Clean, spacious with three bedrooms and three bathrooms.

Very noisy from the bars/restaurants until 2:30am and you can also hear the street traffic. Appliances are difficult to use as there are no manuals to reference. View from the patio is the street. There is no water view as referenced in the description. Parking is difficult with the best option being a surface parking lot for 3.40 euro per 24 hours. Exact change is required. It is a 10 to 15 minute walk from the property.

I am writing this review to show the real situation. The apartment is very spacious, with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. There is plenty of storage space in the closets. The bathrooms could be equipped with some towel hooks. The living room with kitchen is quite large, with 2 sofas, a TV, and a dining table. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The building where the apartment is located is close to the market and a 10-minute walk from the beach. That's where the positive opinions end, and the negative ones begin.

On the first floor of the building, there is a restaurant that is undergoing renovations, with work going on from early morning until late at night, including weekends. Peace and quiet is out of the question. The apartment was cleaned very superficially. All the windows had lots of mold stains. There was mold in some of the bathrooms, shower stalls, and toilets. The sofas have lots of marks from previous guests and need serious cleaning. The dining chairs need repair, as many of them are in poor condition. The internet is only sufficient for insignificant use. If you plan to work during your stay, make sure you have mobile internet. The most unpleasant thing was that after reporting the problem with hygiene and cleanliness, we had to offer the space twice to perform the actual cleaning. After the first visit, the result was zero. And we had to call again. At the second visit, I insisted on being present to be sure that it will be performed in the proper way. So the person responsible for cleaning entered the house wearing outdoor shoes. After I showed her all the places where mold needed to be removed, she continued to wear her shoes in the bathroom and shower. She left the floor covered in dirty footprints, probably with the idea that the guests should have to wash the floor after her...I don't know. So, in general, the apartment is large, bright, and conveniently located, but it is not properly maintained, and the hygiene and cleanliness leave much to be desired. Based on these conclusions, I believe that the exaggerated price charged does not correspond to the level of service provided.
