The host was incredibly helpful and communicative, the location was brilliant with amazing views of the boats from the room and lovely quaint pubs surrounding. Short drive to Herne Bay. The place was clean, tidy and idyllic! Will be returning!

Immaculate studio with everything you need. Great shower, comfortable bed.. Location couldn’t be better and off road parking. Crispin pub recommended both for ambiance and quality of food and drink.

"Our first stay at Sandwich and the location of the Property meant were minutes from the centre."

10.0

A spacious living/bedroom area and fully fitted kitchen. The view from our windows was boats on the river Stour, and we are talking just a few metres...

We couldn't think of anything that was lacking.

"Blessing in disguise"

9.0

We booked the Boatyard in a last minute panic as the property we were meant to be staying at emailed us at 7.15pm (we only saw this when we arrived at 7.30pm) to say they had double booked and could not accommodate us. Within minutes of making our reservation for the Boatyard our host, Steve, had emailed us offering us a parking permit and clear instructions on how to find the property. On arrival we were a little surprised to learn that the apartment is on the ground floor of the hosts home as this is not mentioned in the listing. At first we felt intrusive as it was 8.30pm and we were reluctant to cook the steak meal we had planned. However, the most we could hear from upstairs was movement across the floor and this subsided at 10pm when we presume the hosts went to bed. This is a town house so the hosts bedroom is two floors up. There is a lock on the door to the apartment so whilst the entrance is shared this is a completely secure and private space. The Boatyard is a superb self contained apartment and everything we needed for a self catered stay was provided-even down to tea/coffee/sugar/milk and salt and pepper. The place was absolutely spotless with a comfortable bed and powerful shower. We were provided with two large bath sheets and two hand towels. The heating remained on all night so we were able to control this through the thermostatic valve on the radiator to meet our comfort. It was dark when we arrived so we were unaware of how we were actually situated in relation to the river (the entrance is off a small backstreet minutes from the town), however the host eagerly encouraged us to open the blinds in the morning to take in the view and this did not fail to disappoint-the apartment is only a pavement width from the river which is adorned with fishing boats and yachts. We spent the morning admiring the river and watching the passers by (whom were few and far between) whilst enjoying several cups of coffee.

No dislikes what-so-ever. For Feedback purposes only: -Mention on the listing that the apartment is part of the hosts home. -Install a full length window or double doors in place of the smaller windows looking out to the river. This would be an amazing addition to allow guests to appreciate the wonderful placement and location of the apartment.
