"great location with beautiful view"

great location in the city center, spectacular view to the marina bay, very comfortable bed and nice jacuzzi in the upstairs room. The kitchen is well equipped. A plus is the fact that you can park outside in front of the location for free. The host is very nice and friendly, will explain everything, give hints and always helpful.

some facilities are a bit old and overall it's not very clean (lots of areas with dust). The bedroom is upstairs and to reach it you have to climb a narrow circular staircase (might be challenging in the middle of the night).Although close to city center, the surroundings are not very clean and it gives the impression of a place not inhabited. Although there are many pluses, the value for the money is not great since there are also some minuses.

The closeness to Ortigia was paramount, however, hop on hop off bus to the Neopolos archaelogical park, the museum and around the island of Ortigia was such an excellent way to be introduced to the city, and get around, it was flat out a great find and value on top of Flamingo Spa loft. Also the combo washer/dryer was absolutely tops as we have been in Sicily for a month. Also when we were there for 5 days we went toVendacari to see the Flamingoes, Marzamemi for lunch and shopping, and the Sayonara beach at Fonte Blanche was a great way to spend the last afternoon before heading off to Letojanni for more fun and an Aeolian island tour, a trip to see Etna and more.

The spiral stairs were challenging but you just have to take it slow. But the upstairs bedroom was an excellent perch for the spectacular sunrises, a view of the yacht basin, and to watch the kayak soccer matches right below.

"Exceptional"

Absolutely beautiful place to stay! Clean and comfortable, everything needed was to hand. Perfect air conditioning too. Bed was extremely comfortable! Perfect location to explore and so close to everywhere when walking.

This is in no way any fault to the place....just my fear of heights...the stairs are quite steep!
