THE CLOCKHOUSE, ROuGHTON

Great little place. Everything you could need for a weekend or overnight stay.

Nothing I didn't like about it

Furnishings and equipment were of good quality. Lovely polished floor right through to the shower room and then tiled walls and floor. Comfortable bed and sofa. Well equipped kitchen (though we didn't need use the pans or trays). Setting was in lovely grounds and had a nice sitting out area just for The Clockhouse. We were able to walk around the lovely hosts garden (it is beautiful). We arrived when our hosts were out (early evening), the following morning we were welcomed by Sarah. Very friendly and helpful. A lovely gesture of milk in the fridge and tea/coffee ready for a lovely drink on arrival. Sat in the garden to drink it.

There wasn't anything that we didn't like. It's a good thing, isn't it?

The hosts were friendly and approachable. The accommodation was comfortable,modern and generally clean. It was a quiet location, very relaxing .

The bathroom door was just a hanging one, didn't shut at all. I had access to the washing machine so I could wash my own towels, but I would have liked a change midweek. Oven could have done with a clean and there was no microwave. There was a nasty smell of drains whenever you opened the cupboard under the sink where the small bin was.
