Casa Antonella

I loved the comfortable bed and pillows as it is a detail often overlooked and makes such a big difference to the stay. I did think it was two bedrooms with doors though, but was okay still private to some extent for person up top.

The little maisonette is basically catered with everything. Also, from the little we got to speak with Ms Antonella, she is an exquisite person. I requested a cot and it was set before our arrival with full bedding. Location is literally 2 minutes walk from the Center of the beautiful Ortigia 😍

The area were the maisonette is, it looks pretty much like an alley. Quite shady at night and all scooter bikes are frequently passing even at anytime of the night with some reckless driving. Waking us up quite often. Not ideal with a baby either. I didn't mind first night since it was New year's eve but happened the night after aswell. Also, Cot unfortunately didn't fit in the main bedroom, so my husband and I had to sleep separate. But apart from these small mishaps, everything was great.

Not clean, the floor was always wet around the toilet as it was leaking water. Leftover food was left on the fridge and there were ants at the dinning area. There is very little natural lightning. Motorcycles use the narrow street in front of the appartment as a shortcut and it is very noisy!

Location is perfect for walking to all the nearby sights and we were able to easily find free parking each day. The "cave" room for son was perfect getaway from the parents. Was on a quiet side area of the historic district. Enjoyed a quick walk to the market for cafe and cornetto each morning. Owners were very quick to respond. Loved the self check in.

Loft area a bit small to easily walk around, cumbersome with suitcases. Small shower, and bathroom, was easier to sit sideways on toilet due to tight space. All a part of the experience and was a small challenge that didnt affect our overall comfort.

Location was amazing, it was clean and had everything needed for a short stay.

Toilet in a difficult position if you have long legs! Was a bit smaller than envisaged, but perfectly workable.

This property was just wonderful for all three of us. The only sad part was when we had to leave it! We only had to find parking spot and leave it there for for free for the 2 days. We were within walking distance to all the fun stuff we wanted to do. I’m sure we will all be back someday and I just can’t wait!

I really can’t think of anything that could have been better. It was just such a fantastic location!
