Wonderful terrace and very spacious, clean, and well-equipped

The location is perfect - steps from the sea and a short walk to restaurants and sights. The outdoor terrace is indeed lovely and the unit is quite spacious.

This apartment has great potential but is need of a reno -- particularly with respect to the plumbing. Water for showers was either cold or lukewarm throughout our stay. The plumbing is also very noisy, as are the doors etc., meaning that small movements would wake up others (and despite the large size of the apartment, the bedrooms are all adjacent).

This is a lovely apartment in a grand building, spacious, well-furnished and comfortable. The air con was quiet and efficient. The beds were comfortable and the apartment clean. The location is perfect – quiet but an easy walk to all the sites and to the swimming areas. The terrace was a real boon, spacious and well furnished with views of the sea.

The main problem was that it is clearly advertised as a 4-bed apartment with photographs showing two double rooms, one twin and a single. In reality there were only three bedrooms (two doubles and one single). A fourth dressing room is off the main bedroom with two sofa chairs. We were told it was not suitable for adults as the chairs were not comfortable and beds could not be made up there. We were 5 friends travelling to celebrate a special birthday and 4 of us had to share beds. We would not have booked this apartment had we known and it did cause some difficulty and disappointment. The apartment is ideal for two couples or two families. Bathrobes were also advertised as available, but none were provided. The details refer to wine and fruit. This was also not present. It would have made a very positive welcome – we have experienced this in other places. While these latter things did not detract from the beauty of the place. The details on booking need to be changed to be accurate and not misleading for people booking.

Spacious and comfortable apartment with a large roof top deck.

This apartment was really well located. We could walk everywhere - exploring the town, down to the beach. We loved the roof terrace and found the apartment comfortable and extremely spacious. Ivana was extremely helpful and prompt with messages and let us check in a couple of hours early which was much appreciated.

Struggle with hot water through out the stay

a contact person from booking.com wasn't keen to help me through another channel than WhatsApp which I don't have, and he was somewhat abrupt.

This is a delightful and elegant flat on the top floor of a palazzo (up two long flights of stairs) and is very comfortable. It once belonged to Enzo Maiorca, free diving world champion, and the airy modern decor has a subtle theme of the sea and includes many of his awards. Sea views from some rooms. We loved the location right in the historic centre of Ortigia and the roof terrace was wonderful for breakfast even in winter. There are two double bedrooms with very comfortable beds, one ensuite, the other with a private shower room. Upstairs there is a single bedroom with ensuite. Lots of hot water, and strong wifi in the living areas. Well equipped kitchen with gas hob and electric oven, large fridge freezer, and plenty of smart glasses and crockery. Warm in winter, and I expect cool in summer. We would return with pleasure.

Some attention is needed to the bathrooms. In the upstairs ensuite the shower fitting itself and rusting chrome throughout needs replacement. The plug release in the bath tub downstairs is broken and the plug needs to be prised up by hand. Once this is fixed, the bathrooms will be as elegant as the rest of the flat. Oven gloves and a couple of baking trays are needed in the kitchen to use the oven effectively.

a real gem ! at last a place with a real soul, and in such a great location. very spacious, well decorated, feels like home. with a big and well furnished terrace. great location, quiet street not far from all the more busy streets of Syracuse. can't wait to come back.
