Perfect location in old city but close to parking, view from the balcony, spacious apartment.

Loud music during the night downstairs, dirty floor, poorly equipped kitchen, mattresses.

The apartment looks like it is in a perfect location. Round the corner from the beautiful cathedral and its square and a couple of minutes' walk from the post office and a superb supermarket. The view from the balcony was heavenly. The apartment is very spacious and the bed and sofa comfy. Good communication with the host before arrival and easy to get in.

1)This place should only be rented out to young people who want to spend every night out til 2am. The bars downstairs make sleeping or reading impossible until that time. The incessant, persistent bass beat coming up from the bars even makes watching tv difficult or listening to music with your own headphones. Unacceptable. I have stayed in many towns and cities and never been disturbed like this. 2) The first flight of stairs up is extremely steep with no hand rail. Very difficult if you have luggage. The whole stairwell stinks permanently of cigarettes. Really vile. 3) The kitchen has no kettle and no lids for the pans. Takes ages to boil water. The cutlery and pans were dirty on arrival. 4) The bedrooms have no clothes storage at all. Bizarre. They are a good size and could easily fit a chest of drawers and/or hanging space. 5) The shower is unbelievably small. The shower head is immovable and is fixed so low that anyone above the height of 5 foot 6 would struggle. 6) The whole place feels spartan and unhomely and has an odd selection of furnishings.

Location very good in the Center.

Kitchen equipment very very basic. That really does not cost much and a little bit more knives or spoons....would not be a big investment. Some kitchen/living room chairs also would be nice. The rest of the apartment is good.

The location and views are amazing. The terrace is incredible. Check-in was easy. The bed was comfortable.

It gets a bit colder at night at this time of year so it would have been helpful to have had some blankets. It would have been helpful to have had some cereal bowls.

Nothing

I was given an apartment that was not what I believed I had booked. All communications happened through messaging. I never met the host and when I explained this was not the apartment I had booked it was can do nothing please leave €60 city tax. The apartment was situated above three competing eateries...all playing different forms of music until 01.30 each day. The main door banged closed, and reverberation went through each door in the apartment, waking us if we did manage to sleep ( thank goodness for ear plugs). The apartment was decorated with forms of plastic...lights chairs tables and finally plastic sheets on the bed. The bathroom did not have a lock. The shower was only worthwhile to someone shorter than 5ft 6". Self-catering was an issue as there was one large pot, small pot, and frying pan. Oh, and a plastic ice bucket but no freezer compartment! Outside had a lovely narrow balcony but no furniture to sit on. It was seemingly classed as a sea view but a difficult place to be The noise of scraping from what should have been my apartment with the view was extreme every day. My host explained that I had been given the photographs only of my supposed apartment and that the all-encompassing view had been removed. A surprise to me as I had been looking at the photographs every week in high anticipation of my holiday. Sitting on a doorstep with my daughter in deep desperation of the situation did not create a good omen for our trip. We both adore Taormina, and this definitely tainted what should have been a time of relaxation and pleasure. My daughter is a very peaceful person and was so upset when she had to ask other occupants of the building to stop banging the front door as they collected pints from the downstairs bar to bring to their apartment at 12.45. On the whole... a disaster, disappointing, depressing would be my review.

Shower a little bit too small and you need to take into account that ir will be noizy at night as its in the centre of all but it wasnt an issue to us as we have enjoyed it.

Too many stairs for us, as an elderly couple.
