Dirty and rundown- Nothing!

This location is within walking distance to Carmel market and also to the beach, although the beach was a bit further. There is very good coffee across the street from the building, and a small grocery store and ATM very nearby.

Unfortunately, the shared kitchen and entry area was disorganized and run-down. The room itself was like a cheap college dorm room - dated, mis-matched decor and in need of general maintenance. The bathroom was an afterthought, and made for smaller people. A very disappointing, dreary room. We received a code to enter the common area of the apartment (where someone was storing their scooter, which took up most of the area) and then our room was accessed via a cheap padlock (with the key left in it) but no operating door handle. The door frame was broken and it was obvious the door had been forced open several times. The cheap padlock on the outside of the door and a cheap sliding lock on the inside were all that kept the door closed. We were on the "2nd floor" which is actually the 3rd floor apartment, since there is a floor zero. Our cousins were on the "3rd floor" and had a newly remodeled room and a well supplied and properly organized kitchen area. The common stairway (no elevator) for the entire building was dirty and in need of maintenance. The rooftop area (which was an emphasized feature we were looking forward to) was as if a student party had just ended - garbage everywhere, furniture broken and torn up, awning broken and torn. It was truly disgusting. As luck would have it, after we booked our stay, but before we arrived, a major underground rail construction project was started in the street in front of the building. The previously very limited parking was now non-existent (our taxis had a problem dropping us off and picking us up) and, of course, we were staying in the midst of a construction zone. The adjacent park had potential, but the graffiti, dirty tables/benches, and dog-pee smell was disappointing. All in all, I wondered why this apartment (actually just a room) was priced so reasonably, and now I know why.

Было грязно. Но хозяин вернул деньги и предложил другой объект , который был получше. Но почему-то хотел с нас налоги взять , хотя мы иностранцы . В первый раз ничего не сказал. Но при смене объекта сидели 2 часа. Пока наконец не согласился. В новом номере не было окна, как в коробке.

The location only.

Everything else. We ordered the deluxe room and it was very far from it. The room is very badly maintained(see pictures) and always smells mouldy. We were not warned in advanced the the entire street is under construction and was very noisy, sometimes until 1am. Additionally, we noticed that one of the days someone entered our room and moved some things (nothing was missing).
