The stay was peaceful, the location nice and the home spacious. Getting in and out was simple and the other vacation homes were far enough away that we didn't run into the others that were on vacation. They provided all small necessities like toilet paper, dish soap, wash cloths, dry cloths, wood for the fire place etc.

We were a big group making big meals and the pots they had weren't all that deep, at least not for how and what we cooked. We mostly reused the same two cast iron pots as they were the only ones that were deep enough to work for what we wanted.

Friendly staff, always ready to assist. Host also pleasurable to chat to. Area is remote and peaceful and clean, property is fenced off and perfect for my small dogs and we felt safe. The fishing facility was nice and clean with seating and canoeing equipment, which was a pleasent surprise. Will definitely go back!

Although the property has a generator during power outages, we noticed that the fridge doesn't run off it, hence it can be cumbersome if you have freezer items that could go off especially if you are staying for a longer time frame.

Very quiet and peaceful. Authentic farmhouse with everything we needed. Our host made sure we had all the information we needed before arriving and responded quickly to questions.

The Location was amazing with views of the lake and mountain. Easy access to all 4 lakes.

If there is no power due to eskom, a generator is put on but it does not power the fridge. So possibly find out before hand and bring a cooler box with ice cause there are no shops around.

It was quiet and away from the city. Beautiful and peaceful scenery even though it is a working farm. That just added more to the experience.

Bugs. Lots of bugs, however, you are in a farming area, so it was to be expected. Did not take away from the lovely experience we had.
