Casa Eleganza

Clelia and Sergio were most welcoming and it was always great chatting with them whenever we got to see them during our stay. On our arrival day, all grocery shops nearby were closed. Clelia was so kind to give us some bottled water, bread, butter, and jam so that we had something for breakfast the following morning, before we could stock up the fridge. Check-in was super easy: I informed Clelia our estimated arriving time and she was at the gate waiting for us upon our arrival. This was our second visit to the area and both times we stayed at Casa Eleganza. It was quite rainy this time and we did not get to sit in the garden to enjoy the lake view; but overall we still had a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Sergio and Clelia were very nice and accommodating. Their place is a quaint 15 minute walk to the lake. It is a first floor apartment with beautiful views from the living room, kitchen, and second bedroom. The kitchen was clean and fully stocked. They even had a new American coffee maker. The master bedroom has an en suite bath and there is a large second bathroom with a bathtub/shower with great water pressure. The location is very convenient to Switzerland.

We had a large rental car and the streets are narrow. I suggest you rent a small car. There is gated private parking at the apartment but it's tight.

Location, host and the house were fantastic. We all 3 appreciated the quiteness and not been near traffic or any other busy area, but still with a short walk down the hill, have a great walk all along the lake and easy to get to the ferry to reach other beautiful little town on the lake. Highly recommended.
