The location is absolutely beautiful. The house itself is full of charm, surrounded by greenery with lovely views. It’s peaceful and quiet, with four adorable donkeys and goats that add to the character of the place. You get the best of the mountains while being just 10 minutes from the lake, an ideal combination.

The location is charming but the hospitality was disappointing. Although the listing mentions at the very end that you can bring your own bed sheets or rent them for €15 per person, this is misleading. A rental property should include sheets by default; no one travels with their own. We arrived to find no bedding, and when we requested sheets for three beds and a baby cot, we were given mismatched single sheets that didn’t properly fit, just enough for two beds, and nothing for the baby. Despite this, I was still asked to pay €15 per person. I reluctantly paid for two as a gesture of goodwill. To make matters worse, the shower was completely blocked and when we asked for it to be fixed, they simply left a bottle of Mr Muscle and expected us to sort it out ourselves. Unbelievable. Additionally, the plates and cups in the kitchen were dirty, clearly not checked or cleaned before our arrival. It’s a shame because the house itself is lovely and the surroundings are beautiful. With some basic improvements in hospitality, cleanliness, and responsiveness, this place could truly be great.

Beautiful location, with amazing views of the lake. The donkeys and goats on the property were fun to interact with for our granddaughter. Comfortable beds.

No soap or shampoo in the bathroom, minimal kitchen supplies. We had to pay extra for sheets and towels. Insecure drivers should be aware of the narrow winding road going up to the house, where two cars have difficulty passing each other.

The view over Lake Maggiore is stunning and the house and gardens are charming.

Although not cheap I had to pay quite a lot for sheets on arrival. In terms of equipment and decoration, both are reasonable but could do with a refresh.
