La Duchessa di Volterra, 2 min Walk from the Historic Town, with Private Parking

The apartment is spacious, historic, and in the perfect location. Extremely comfortable bed. Very much appreciated the designated parking spot. Host communicated well.

I loved the artwork and the closeness to the town.

Beautiful property

This apartment is an absolute delight. It is vary spacious, comfortable, clean, wonderfully furnished and in a terrific location. We hope to stay here again. Would live here if we could!

Nothing to critique... an amazing place to stay.

This is a beautiful, traditionally decorated apartment complete with a breakfast area and dining room, a living room, marble floors and expansive windows. It is walking distance from the shops and restaurants in town. The host was easy to reach with questions.

No air conditioning for hot days. Fans were provided and we opened the windows for ventilation.

The place was more spacious than anticipated, there were three communal seating areas and two balconies. If we planned on meeting up with people in the property that would have been useful. There were also nice additions like game boards which are easy to forget but can also really elevate a night.

The place was dirty. Lots of dirt built up on even obvious and visible areas like heaters, the bathroom had a strong odour of wee. The approach to the property seemed more like a home than done for guests. For example, the bathmat didn’t look like the type washed frequently, usually places provide towel like mats. The towels and bedding were not white, which made it hard to assess cleanliness too. Overall, I didn’t feel the place had been cleaned well nor to a professional standard. I slept in the single bedroom and the bed was not comfortable

The location was perfect! It was walkable to the village and all the shops and restaurants, which is exactly what we wanted. The residence was charming and spacious. Our host left us some supplies (coffee, tea, milk, bottled water etc.) and even some treats (cookies & wine!). Parking was available for our rental car.

Nothing, it was just what we were looking for.

Cannot say enough good things about this large, tastefully decorated, centrally located (a short 2 minute walk) next to everything you would want to see in Volterra,
