Alexandra Beach Haven - with parking

Very large flat. TV in lounge and bedroom 1. Large bathroom. Plenty of electrical sockets and dimmable lighting. Very clean and well decorated.

Parking a bit tight on length, just managed to park a BMW X1. If we had taken our Fiesta it would have been a breeze.

Lovely living room and bedrooms, very comfortable and the balcony is a lovely bonus!

The people below were smoking inside their flat so unfortunately the smell of cigarettes did come up the stairs and into the flat especially when we opened the balcony which ruined the experience. There were also no coffee pods, no dishwasher tablets and not enough big towels for each guest.

The property a short walk to seafront was fantastic, great to have off road parking

Location (access to facilities, seafront, quiet location), good-sized tidy flat. Nicely decorated. Off-road parking.

Neighbours downstairs: smoke permeated into flat, arguing, late night use of washing machine and hoover (out of the owner's control but did detract from the experience). Some of the instructions need updating (rubbish collection days, Sky box not Virgin). A lot of lights flickered due to non-dimmable bulbs used with dimmer switches. Key safe was jammed.

The property was clean and tidy and ideally situated for us. Parking was a real bonus.

Very squeaky beds and doors. Poor pillows in one of the bedrooms. The entrance hall downstairs contains stale cigarette smell. The coffee machine was in the kitchen, so we assumed that it was working and bought the capsules for it. However, it was not, and the owner refused to replace it. The cost of similar coffee machine is 35 pounds. We bought it and left it as a present to the owners. We hope it will help future renters - coffee lovers.

Its location, close to the sea, shops and restaurants. Quiet outside. Great parking, would have struggled in that area without it.

The bath/shower. It looked lovely. I am in my late sixties, 5’5” and have a hip replacement. I couldn’t get in it. Some noise from the flat downstairs.
