Apartamento La Villa

Nice apartment, clean and good location. It's a shame about the strong humid smell and the mold in the bedroom (windows and corners) because the apartment is nice.

Very humid, there was mold around the windows, in the corners of the bedroom and in the corners of the living room and a very strong smell. We had to leave after one night, even the pillow cases were damp. After contacting the host privately, we were told he would get back to us. He never did. We contacted booking.com customer service, but still had to pay for the entire stay and were told to leave a review. Nothing further. I was afraid this would be an issue in other apartments and was due to the climate, but once we moved we realized this must be unique to this apartment.

A good place to stay in El Hierro. Located in Valverde, plenty of free parking around and a bakery nearby where you can buy fresh bread and biscuits every morning.
