location weligama

This was the perfect place to stay while learning how to surf at Weligama Beach. Even though it was just me, I stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment which worked out when my friend needed a new place to stay and joined me in the second room. The rooms are clean and extremely comfortable. The hot showers were lovely as was the small kitchenette. Every morning was so peaceful, I would journal on the balcony and watch the monkeys in the mango trees. The location was unbeatable!! Steps from the beach and main road where there are tons of dining options and cafes. The host was so accomodating during check-in and check-out and was able to arrange transportation back to Colombo. I could have stayed here 1 month or longer. Thank you for an amazing stay!!

Lovely hosts - very clean

The location was excellent 2 minutes from the beach and close to bars and restaurants. The owner was very friendly and was available on the phone to help us locate the property. The two rooms upstairs have a private entrance at the front.

I had the smaller of the two rooms which maybe has not been used often as when I unwound the mozzie net to use it dead moths and other dead creatures dropped out on to the bed. It also had holes in it. There was only a bare bulb lamp in the room and the floor was dirty so this room needs some attention. The bed was comfortable.

Perfect location close to the surfbeach and a wonderful balcony where we could work in the shade between surf sessions. Host Umindu was superfriendly and helpful at any request trying to solve all issues immediatly

We could not use the supplied mobile wifi in the evenings from 6pm. The network seems then to be overloaded by all people that come home from work. The kitchen is not practical at all. The watertap and dichwashing is on the outside so you need a headlamp after 6pm. Do not expect to do any more advanced cooking than boiled eggs ocr heat tea water.

Had a nice stay at Location Weligama. It’s a guest house, so you get local atmosphere. A lovely family lives downstairs, quiet and doesn’t bother you. The flat is located on the first floor: 2 rooms, a bathroom, a small kitchen in the hallway and a big terrace. The apartment has everything you might need. The laundry is also available (an extra fee). I loved the terrace with a great view on the garden - I worked there in the evening. I ordered breakfast a couple of times and it was delicious. The host was very helpful and sorted out every request very quickly!
