Apartament Athenee Palace Bucharest

Location, but only like pedestrian.

Don't be fooled by the photos or by the location! You will regret it! The apartament is dirty. There are no carpets. The bathtub is unusable because of how dirty it is. You can barely take a quick shower. We had to clean the bathtub ourselves before using it and still it was disgusting. The toilet smelled very bad , we cleaned it ourselves but still the smell like a public toilet in the train station was going inside the bedrooms, even with the ventilation switched on. The kitchen, refrigerator, oven, toaster, microwave and the accesories were dirty and sticky, we had to clean ourselves all the kitchen and accesories, and still everywhere you looked was some sticky part. Very bad smell inside the apartment. The apartment is located on the ground floor and the entrance door in the building was making a big noise everytime someone was entering the building. There is no free parking, except few places on a small crowded street, where there are also public offices and there is no chance of parking. The host lied about the parking,same as he did with the window curtains. After our arrival he told us that the curtains have just broken down and there was no time to fix them. Childish way to trick someone. We had to clean most of the apartament for 2 hours just to have where to stay, because this is completely opposite to relaxation, good time, and rest. We could not rest at all for 2 nights. In the second day we left at 5 AM just to escape the location. Tired and disgusted. I seriously consider not to use Booking in the future because the huge difference between what is sold and reality is unacceptable.

One of the rooms had permanently shuttered windows due to the shutter being broken, so not a lot of daylight (if any). Neighbours quite noisy.

There is a kitchen, so one's meal need to be cooked by the guest. However there is plenty of space and the meal prep would not interfere with other activities like tv watching or just laying around.

There were very few things, like decorations, to make the place a bit warmer. Also a page with some essential phone numbers and attractions nearby would be much appreciated.

Very clean and spacious, exceptionally good location, has everything you need for your stop in the city. Would recommend.

The apartment is a bit dark, not a lot of natural light, but we didn't spend time during the day inside, so it didn't matter much.

It's pretty central and big, the beds were good, very convenient for 3 people. The parking is also available in front of the apartment and free, but you need to be lucky to find a spot.

It's very dark inside, the sunshine is not visible and one of the windows cannot be opened. Also the drainage in the bath is now well. The water accumulates during the shower.

Super spacious and we found everything we needed. Very convenient location
