Corcovada, Albufeira, Algarve

We arrived a couple of days later than originally planned due to strikes with the airline but once we arrived, I contacted Roberto, the facilities manager and although there was a little misunderstanding in arrival time he turned up with the keys shortly after. Roberto went over pretty much everything and was an absolute pleasure to meet. We had booked the penthouse apartment which was very spacious and comfortable, easily catering for 6 adults and 5 children. There is a large balcony, at the rear of the property, with an outdoor dining area. There are two pools out the back, although sadly the smaller kiddies pool was empty and not in use but the larger pool, where the kids would have lived if they could have, was a decent size and there were enough loungers to cater for everyone. The apartment is in a quiet but convenient location with a good selection of shops, bars and places to eat, all within walking distance. Those with their own transport will find it ideal as there is plenty of parking. All in all I would definitely recommend it.

Some of the furniture in the apartment is showing its age and could do with being replaced, my only other gripe and it is a minor one, is the lack of plugs for the bath and sink
