"Exceptional"

Beautiful location. Hazel and Christo were amazing hosts. Made all of us feel so welcome. The pool was so nice to swim in after a long day of exploring Cape Town. Felt very safe and secure at the cottage. The Cottage was so clean and nice, a great place to relax.

"Idyllic, privacy and luxury personified."

We stayed in Meerendal Cottage from 5th January until 3rd February 2024. The property is absolutely superb and the owners, Hazel & Christo, who live in the adjoining property, are very special people. We had decided to find a 5 star property that would afford us privacy and luxury whilst we enjoyed the hot South African summer. The property met this brief 100%. The cottage is extremely well appointed, has 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and two bathrooms. The showers are excellent. The exclusive use of the small but lovely garden and the swimming pool are of enormous benefit. The pool is heated and we used it constantly as it was at the right temperature to enjoy easy access. We ate out a few nights a week but BBQ'd the rest of the time. We can't thank Hazel and Christo enough for their kind hospitality.

There wasn't anything that we didn't like.

"Space, space and space!"

Absolutely beautiful and comfortable. We loved everything about the place. Rooms are large and spacious, and 2 large bathroom/toilet/showers. Great that both rooms have their own TVs with streaming services. There is so much of space to relax in from the 2 beds, to the window nook/lounging area in main bedroom, dining table, braai/patio area, movable pool loungers, garden bench etc. Owners are really lovely and helpful but leave us alone to enjoy the place (although in contact in need). Conveniently close to supermarket/shopping centre/petrol station and also the N1, yet still has the look and feel of a safe, quiet suburb.

Super clean, and very comfortable. The garden and pool were beautiful.

The lack of a living room. The one bedroom has a living room area, but that is awkward inside the bedroom for shared lounging.

"Gorgeous Pool"

It was impeccable. Cozy with everything we needed. Pool and a lovely wood fired hot tub. Set in a nice quiet area compared to the rest of Cape Town.
