Lo único que nos ha gustado es que es grande y cómodo, no hemos pasado calor, para lo que necesitábamos pasar una noche esta muy bien.

Lo que no nos ha gustado ha sido el trato, la bienvenida, ha sido decirme dónde estaba el portal y dónde estaba la llave y ya está. Me preguntó la chica que a qué hora llegabamos y le dije que después de comer, y me dijo ah vale porque ahora mismo la limpieza esta esperando a que salieran los otros huéspedes, y eso fue a las 11:00. Le dijimos a la chica que entrábamos después de comer, llegamos a las 15:30, y nos encontramos con la limpieza allí sentada con él móvil, no nos escuchó llegar porque me dijo que tiene problemas de audición, se levantó asustada, nos dijo que pensaba que era su jefe. Me dijo que pensaba que llegábamos más tarde, cogió sus cosas y se fue. Al rato de irse me di cuenta que no había terminado de limpiar el apartamento, las camas sin terminar de hacer, no sabemos si las sábanas estaban limpias, el baño olía mal,a pis, a sucio usado, había sólo un rollo de papel higiénico casi terminado. La pared de la cocina llena de salpicaduras de aceite, y para el colmo un bote de fairy con dos gotas y encima mezclado con agua. A esa hora le estuve llamando a la chica varias veces pero no contestaba, ya casi a las 22:00 de la noche me manda un WhatsApp diciendo, todo bien? No le pude contestar porque ya estábamos descansando. La escribí a la mañana siguiente, sorprendida por todo., disculpándose pero ya era tarde.

Hosts need to send info day before travel regards where to pick keys up from. We had no Internet on our phones to see what they sent whilst we were travelling and would have been stuck without our taxi drivers help., he called them for us as we don't speak Spanish and they don't speak English. The internet in room didn't work because the yellow fibre optic cord had been detached from wall, so this also meant tv didn't work. A patch cord was left in a bar across the road but was useless as it was the wrong cable, I gave up trying to contact them after leaving 3 messages and no return call. Building work across the road constant, we didn't mind the harbour cranes for loading and unloading ships as was expected, but not the building. Some very tired looking furniture in apartment, and not good value for money overall.

Amparo was very helpful in every way, and a lovely friendly lady. We had a problem with the hot water and she arranged for it to be fixed by 9pm, that night, which was excellent service. The comunication with her was perfect, which is always a plus. Parking was easy. We loved the local Cafe Bar Santiago, where Paco treated us as long lost friends almost right from our first visit. The nearby restaurants were good and always busy with the locals. The shopping area was a 25 minutes walk for us older people Overall we found the apartment clean and in good condition, and good falue for money

The view was not quite the same as the picture, as it was taken from a higher room than the one we were in. In saying this, we still had a nice view of the port. Our only bad expierience was the works being done right accross the road, with concrete pillars being hamered into the ground every day. The facilities could be improved with a nice chair to sit in instead of just a sofa. Cusions, cups and tea spoons would be a plus. Would we go back? definately yes.

The location is really good. 30 minutes walk along the harbour to the town centre. Easy parking on the road. Spar supermarket one minute walk away. The host was very pleasant and helpful, but doesn't speak much English. Google translate helped! Cartagena is a beautiful city. So many interesting historical sites. Relaxing cafes and restaurants, and music performers in the streets. Would highly recommend it.

The apartment is a little bit tired. Beds were a bit creaky and crockery could do with a bit of an update.
