Villino liberty

Incredible location and Silvia was super responsive over message about everything. I can't stress this enough: you can't beat the location, it's in the middle of a private garden/park behind a beautiful wrought iron gate and across a moat - you'll feel like you're staying in a castle. The views from the master bedroom are incredible. Cernobbio is a great jump-off point to explore the Lago di Como region. It's a small town but active and not as quiet (especially in the off season) as some of the smaller ones to the north. That being said you can easily bike, drive, or take the ferry to Moltrasio (charming little square with a great restaurant - Bar Centrale) or to Forno/Nesso/Bellagio on the center promontory of Como. I also highly recommend the restaurant Glicine up in the hills about 7 minutes from the Villino. You are also really close (10 min drive) to the town of Como which is a proper small city with gyms, wine bars, bike stores, and great shopping from all around the world. The Villino is a great place to relax, read, write, and spend time with family while still being close to all the region has to offer.

This is a cozy, rustic accommodation - well appointed but not overly so. I would suggest it for someone looking for a cozy getaway, not necessarily a luxury stay. You have to be looking for charm, and you'll get plenty of it!

Location, location, location.. everything on the doorstep. Ferry, restaurants, shops, all within 100 meters of the property

Superb location approximately 100 yards from the multi-destination ferry pier and 500 yards from bus stops. Beautiful outlook from the larger upstairs bedroom with two balconies looking over Lake Como. Extensive private garden with table and four chairs/ cushions. Choice of descent restaurants and bars within 50-500 yards. Property felt very safe with electrically controlled outer gate.

Bedroom access is via a very narrow and steep spiral, metal staircase that younger clients can manage ok but grandad (77) found it a bit difficult and would not have managed luggage on his own. The shower-room is on the ground floor but there is an upstairs loo with a small sink. Despite detailed instructions on how to find the property we found it very difficult the first time.
