Classy Apartment Unirii Square

There is nothing i did not like

Great location. Fab little apartment. Well equipped. Sizable for 4 of us. No real downs.

The picture of the key box was wrong so took us a good 20 mins back and forth with boxes. The forth bed was a little uncomfortable but there was enough room in the bigger bed for the 3 of us.

Upon arrival to this apartment we were told to go to another place as there has been a mistake. Then we had to walk 20min to another apartment which also turned out to have people already staying in it. We tried to get in touch with someone again but we didnt get a reply. So spending 2 hours we got nowhere so I had to go and find a hotel. Awful of them to lie to people. Ruined my 1 day stay here.

Good location!

Location is not everything, though!!! 0) The building has been classified by the Bucharest authorities as an earthquake hazard ( the big RED DOT on the picture attached says that). A Romanian friend of ours told us that the buildings marked with a red dot are likely to collapse in case of an earthquake. That WAS NOT mentioned in the listing of the apartment! 1) The host is totally irresponsive and sends wrong check in instructions- it is not the key locker box on the picture of the instructions-it's another one. It took us some time to figure it out in the cold weather. 2) The moment we entered the room, the persevering smell of mold lingered all till the very end of our stay. It never goes away. 3) I opened the wardrobe in the hallway, and the whole wardrobe felt over me - it's good it was not heavy and I could catch itmid-airr and push it back to the wall. I noticed then that it was leveled and stabilized with a hanger ( see photo). 4) DIRTY!!! It wasn't dusted - so much dust over the fridge, on the chandelier, etc. 5) Tiny flies flying all over the place + spider webs. 6) Missing dish washer in the kitchen - although check out instructions say to leave the dirty dishes in the dishwasher... 7) No sink in the kitchen and plates and glases were left in the cupboards dirty. 8) We checked out on 29 Nov 24 and left a WhatsApp message as per the checkout instructions. Up to this date (06 Dec 24), the host has not replied to me with a simple "Thank You." To sum up, that was the worst accommodation experience in our lives!!! Only the fact that it was too late and too cold when we went there hindered us from finding a better place. Booking should unlisted this property because it only downgrades their good reputation!!!
