Thyme Spent Bloubergstrand

We had an exceptional stay at Thyme Blouberg, and it truly exceeded our expectations. Every detail of the interior felt intentional — beautifully curated, functional, and thoughtfully laid out in a way that made the space feel both stylish and welcoming. Nothing felt out of place; it was clear that a lot of care went into creating a home that prioritises comfort without compromising on design. The atmosphere was calm and effortless, making it easy to settle in and fully relax from the moment we arrived. The space was immaculately kept, well-equipped, and designed to make guests feel at home while still enjoying a touch of luxury. One of the absolute highlights was the pool area — it was stunning and honestly felt like we were staying at a private resort. Whether lounging poolside or taking a refreshing dip, it added such a special element to our stay and elevated the entire experience. Overall, Thyme Blouberg offered the perfect balance of comfort, beauty, and tranquility. It was a memorable stay, and we would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a refined yet relaxing getaway in Blouberg.

The main living area and decor is exceptional. Great to have tea, coffee, sugar and milk provided, as well as shampoo and body wash. Very clean, neat and tidy at all times.

Initially disappointed as fotos misleading, thought our room or communal lounge had the spectacular mountain view 🥴 The queen room we stayed needs a few repairs, handle on small cupboard door broken, candle used as door stop. Extension cord draped across second lounge area for outside lighting.

Beds are insanely comfortable, having the option of AC for those hotter days was just bliss, and can’t believe how wonderful the staff are and the cleaning service each day - great location and in such a safe area. Communication with the owners was easy and they were quick to respond to any questions we had.

Everything was really great, the only downside in our studio room was the water flow from the sink (the kitchen one) tap was too far forward so just splashed out onto the surface every time you used it or washed dishes. Otherwise 10/10- we will definitely be back and stay here!

Eher kleines Badezimmer

Ein schön eingerichtetes Guesthouse mit angenehmer Atmosphäre. Ruhiges Wohnviertel. Unser Zimmer hatte einen großen Balkon und eine Küchenecke mit Kochgelegenheit, die wir auch nutzten. Das benutzte Kochgeschirr wurde überraschenderweise sogar gespült während wir am Strand waren. Es war bereits unser 2.Aufenthalt hier.

Das Bad ist ziemlich klein.

To fault of my own I was expecting a direct ocean view.

Everything was lovely. The kitchen needs sharp knives.

Safe peaceful location. Despite being a little out the way of Cape Town we found it the perfect base to explore from (with car). Super comfortable bedroom and kitchen had everything we needed to prepare dinner. Walking distance from some cute cafes for breakfast.
