Die Wohnung hat eine perfekte Lage.man kann den sehr schönen Strand zu Fuß erreichen.Auch die grosszügige Terasse und die Ausstattung der Wohnung überzeugen. Die Kommunikation mit Harald war super und wir haben einen perfekten Badeurlaub dort erlebt.Sehr gerne wieder mal!

The location

Pictures Are Not Accurate We stayed at Casa Nova for 5 weeks in April / May 2025. When I booked I expected I would get what the advertised pictures showed. On arrival we were very disappointed with the tired condition of this unit. We ask Harald for help as the bedroom window was broken, it wouldn’t open. He did replace a part. Also to note if you want privacy or room darkening you must go outside to the deck to open and close the shutters. We ended up just leaving them closed all the time. We also pointed out the Harald the patio was very unsightly. Weeds and dead plants were overgrown. In the pictures of the unit it shows a beautiful ocean view. When you are sitting on the deck you cannot see through the overgrown weeds. Harald explained that he was unable to weed the garden as it was a Portuguese rule to leave this is a natural habitat. I said ok this is fair but then you should update your website pictures as the pictures you are displaying are not at all what you are actually getting for a view. The exterior of the building is very shabby looking compared to the pictures too. We also had an ongoing issue with the shower not draining. You must leave the shower running for several minutes to get hot water but by the time you can have your shower the drain is backing up. You end up with several inches of water and soap at your feet. We asked Harald to repair this issue. He came over and removed much hair and debris. This did not repair the problem so we had to deal with trying to make sure the shower did not overflow for the remainder of our stay. There is also a sewer smell that will come up the shower drain so there is a bigger issue than just hair back up in the trap. The unit smelled musty all the time, there is also black mould in areas of the walls and ceiling. Since we stayed for 5 weeks we had people coming and going from the apartment above us. There is little to no soundproofing between the floors. We could hear everything going on upstairs.

The location was excellent. We wanted to hike the Seven Hanging Valleys Trail and there was a short path that led right to it from the apartment. Our host Harald was wonderful. He even helped us with renting a car.

The bed pillows were a bit hard.
