Casa do Milho

The location & the pool. This is close to walk Seven Hanging Garden Trail, otherwise it’s a 30min walk into the main town.

Given the size of the room a queen bed & decent pillows would benefit & Aircon wouldn’t go astray. Their dog barks every time you enter & leave the property, sometimes quite aggressively.Requires maintenance around the yards (could be spectacular)

Nothing everything was perfect

Our host Nina, has set up the place so wonderfully well. She definitely has paid a lot of attention to detail. She has even provided her guests with make-up remover pads! The room was very comfortable, spacious and airy. The kitchen was very well-equipped. We had a shared terrace overlooking the pool and a nice view of the terrain nearby. The beach is just a 10 minute walk away. You also have a few restaurants in the vicinity where you could walk to. The beach that I mentioned Praia do Vale de Centianes is part of the 7 Hanging Valleys Trail and you can use it as the start/end point. All in all had a great time there.

This is a wonderful place- relaxing and beautiful, well landscaped property. If it were warmer, I would have loved the beautiful and clean pool area! The owner was kind and well resourced in helping make a wonderful stay. She is clear that she is doing winter work of updates and property care- the room was inexpensive but spacious and quiet and had wonderful antique furnishings and plenty of kitchen appliances to be self sufficient. It was a short drive to many beach areas, restaurants and shopping. A few places are accessible by walking.

I didn't realize the hot water heater was solar powered and so one time, my shower wasn't very hot. (It was every time after).

The peace and silence in Casa do Milho is simply unique. Nina went above and beyond, she is by far the most hospitable host I encountered while travelling through Algarve. The one-bedroom apartment is tastefully decorated, bright and airy. Her villa is a heaven thanks to her kindness and we can't wait to be back.

Location was fine ! Quite close to beach within walking distance! Bed was perfect nice and firm, shower and toilet were good .nice quiet area .the pool was good bit small but ok.

As for self catering you would struggle, bare minimum of of kitchen equipment. Furniture was very dated in my opinion I felt it all needed refurbishment bathroom cupboards were old and most of drawers wouldn’t open . Over all it needs some TLC
