The Urban Apartment

Offered all basic amenities, microwave, cooker, kettle, some utensils and kitchenware. First impressions looked like a home from home!

I found a dirty sock under the bed, the bed had broken slats and a super thin and uncomfortable mattress. The plumbing was hit and miss as the sink wouldn't drain in the bathroom until I unblocked it myself with hot water. The toilet cistern had to be manually refilled every two flushes! The corner sofa is very worn and broken too as it looks like the side is going to break off at any point in time. Although there were towels, I had to do a shopping delivery to be able to make use of the kettle for coffee, and also had to buy laundry detergent for washing. The mattress is stained terribly despite the mattress protector, which indicates its age. Amongst other things I found grains of Pilau rice and mushrooms - presumably from previous occupants Indian takeaway and Pizza? Sadly would not be willing to stay again.

Location Property was lovely and warm and had lots of hot water.

The walls are thin. Just be mindful that you can hear the neighbours chatting.

Overnight stay.... The apartment was very well presented and was also clean and tidy. I was also pleasantly surprised at how spacious it was. It is located in a quite residential area and is excellent value for money!

Just what I needed. I have a wetroom at home in Wath and wanted a long hot soak in a bath in a comfortable apartment. It was great ! I'm now in London for my 65th birthday. I would happily stay in Urban apartment again.
