"Looks nice, smells bad"

The apartment overall has a nice layout, and the kitchen with coffee maker and fridge was decent. The ensuite bathroom was spacious. This place really has a lot of potential. The communication is responsive (but not helpful).

The apartment was suuuper hot when we arrived (at 3am!), it would really help to pull down the shades during the day (we tried it on our first day and it made a world of difference). The shared bathroom was extremely smelly from some drain problem. You can tell it has been like this for a while, it's definitely not a recent problem - we didn't bother reporting it because we were out most of the time anyway. We had to keep the closed at all times or the smell would come into the lounge... and there are no cleaning products like the booking information suggested. Good we didn't stay longer than we did :/ --- Interesting perhaps: before arrival I tried to contact the property to arrange check-in and I was told to please stick to the automatically sent communications only, because they manage so many properties that they can't deal with individual guests. On the day before our check-out they kept pestering me trying to contact me in various ways to find out our itinerary so they could make their cleaning plan more efficient. One of those two things would to some people perhaps be just about acceptable, but in combination I found it very cheeky and it made me feel less like a guest than a cash cow. Especially expecting me to put time aside *on my holiday* to help with your schedule. It's just rude.

The location was really good as it was central to the Athenaeum, Old Town and the central park (which is less than two minutes from the apartment.) But what set this as a 10+ was all the attention we were given by Julia. I would definitely recommend this property or any others operated by CityLife Suites. The amount of assistance she gave on so many different fronts I have never experienced before (and we have had great experiences with so many places we have rented over the years) and it extends past Julia to her whole team. I had not read carefully to see they organize tours so I just booked off of Viator but I would contact Julia and her team about arranging tours as I am sure it would be amazing. I cannot say enough positive things.

I liked the coziness of the place and the flat's rooms and beds.

I didn't like that we had just glasses and plates for the kitchen and that the entrance is on another small private corridor opposite another flat that they have in their portofolio. I felt uncomfortable with the fact that I was requested to check in late because of their cleaning schedule and I was being asked if I plan to check out early because of the same reason.

"Lovely apartment just a shame about the issue we had which i hope for the owners doesn’t happen again."

The property is situated near to a nice park and easy walking distance to the old area of the city with plenty of good places to eat and to go for coffee. We know the area so booked the apartment for this reason. A transfer to and from the airport was arranged by the apartment owners of which was great as there were 4 adults each with large cases and hand luggage. The driver contacted me a few days before we flew to introduce himself and to arrange to meet us at the arrivals area within the airport. We had to leave the apartment at 3am to fly home and he was there at 2:45am asking if we needed any help with anything, so would recommend this to anyone who books the apartment. The apartment is large and airy as the photos show with 2 large double bedrooms, one with en-suite and plenty of comfy seating space in the lounge/kitchen area. The kitchen facilities are good enough to knock up a breakfast or light lunch and has a good quality bean to cup coffee machine that got plenty of use.

At the moment there is no 24hr emergency number for contact with the owners if any thing goes wrong in the apartment, of which did for use. Due to an electrical fault in the building we found ourselves locked out of the apartment at 02:30am after returning from our daughters wedding, as the outer door into a short corridor that the apartment shares with the the owners other apartment which is also rented is on an electrical key pad lock. There is a mechanical lock fitted but we were not provided with the key at the start, though was provided with it after as i had to force the door to get in. I have properties that i let out and have always provided a 24hr contact number for cases like this as no one got back to me until gone 9am. I did speak to one of the owners and they said its a thing that they’re now looking into for the future and also returned the transfer fee for the return to the airport. It is a nice apartment and it was a shame about the electrical fault locking us out and if I hadn’t been unable to force the door i would of had top find other accommodation for the night for us due to no 24hr contact.
