"Fantastic Flat in the Heart of Edinburgh"

Fantastic location just off the Royal Mile Lots of room and plenty of space Comfy beds Good size bathroom and good shower

Though the location is fantastic, it is near one of the main party streets and it can be really noisy outside in the early hours Quite steep steps down to the flat from the Royal Mile

The location. I booked it for the location and the two separate bedrooms.

It got very cold in the apartment. A short note for guests on how to turn on the heating would be good. There's mold in the bathroom and the door doesn't work properly. Some things that didn't bother me too much but future guests should know: - Very noisy on the weekends, party crowds right in front of the windows because this apartment is on the ground floor. If you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs. :) - If you're uncomfortable with vomit and other bodily fluids, trash, syringe packaging and homeless people near your front door, this is not the place for you. - The bed in the second bedroom could be a little small for two.

"Very basic accommodation near to Royal mile"

It was clean and central

Very outdated decor and neighbourhood not nice even though just off royal mile. No tea coffee etc provided and not even enough loo roll.

"Comfortable and good location but not easy to find if arriving late at night"

The apartment was light and airy. Located close to the Royal Mile. The welcome box of milk sachets and tea and coffee was much appreciated as was the provision of toiletries.

The directions provided showing how to get to the flat takes you to Tron square but, importantly, not to the flat itself. We arrived in the evening in the dark and after wandering around the square only found the building by reference back to your pictures of the outside. The building maybe reached either via a narrow unlit passage off the High St (which is where the main entrance to the property is) or, a small dead end road off Cowgate. Not very helpful and made this more stressful than it should have been. There were 3 drop boxes at the entrance to the property and it was only by luck that we picked the right box as there was no indication which one we should try to open. Even then, there was no indication from the number on the key tag which of the apartments was ours! I have reviewed the information I was sent when we booked and I cannot see that we were given a specific number for the apartment x all I can see is it says a 2BR apartment. The number on the key tag was something like 359. Our flat turned out to be flat 1 on the ground floor. It was only once inside the flat having found the information booklet that it had the full address for the property. If I have this correct you really should provide more explicit instructions in regards to the property and the flat number. There is no heating in the bedrooms which may be an issue for some in colder conditions. There was some late night noise in the area which did keep my wife awake although this didn’t go on in to the wee small hours.
