St James Quarter 2 Bed Apartment

This is a stunning and beautiful apartment with lovely furniture and very clean and comfortable. The owner, David, met us to handover the keys and he was so lovely and had provided us with all the essentials in the kitchen - bread, milk, butter, jam, biscuits and chocolates. It is in a great location. We went on a Ghost Walk and had a look round the National Portrait Gallery which is in a gorgeous building opposite. We also visited the Royal Yacht Britannia and Holyrood Palace and we had a lovely meal in Bella Sicily, the Italian restaurant downstairs in the same building as the apartment.

My mum is elderly so she had to really take her time going up and down the stone stairs, but it's an old building so we knew there would be stairs and they kind of added to the charm of the place. The bathroom is quite small but again, as it's an old building, that really wasn't a problem.

Great location by trams and bus station but also easy to walk to train station , bars, restaurants and old town Apartment had lots of nice touches , bread , milk , butter , jam and fruit great when arrived late Shower gel , shampoo etc too Beautiful flowers and plants too - so homely

Warning re steep steps to apartment

Excellent location, only a 5-10 minute walk from train station. Perfect location from which to explore the city. Apartment was comfortable, clean and spacious with essentials (milk, bread, wine) left by our host ahead of our arrival. We were given clear instructions from the host on how to access the property in advance of our arrival. This property will be first on our list for our next visit to Edinburgh.

The toilet was located next to the bath and would be a challenge for a larger person to use comfortably

David, the host met us. He was incredibly helpful. David left so many exceptional goodies, we were delighted. Communication throughout was excellent. The apartment was beautiful, of a high standard and very clean.

The bathroom could have been wider but that’s more to do with the age of the building.
