Vila Gaivota 3G

Apartamento espectacular.

Everything about Vila Gaivota 3G was perfect, Wendy and Mario were great hosts contacting us with information and they left a starter pack of goodies in the fridge. It felt like home away from home and was the perfect place for a relaxing holiday

Everything was perfect: location, condo, view from the balcony, hospitality of the hosts/owners. The apartment was great: very clean, nice design, well equipped kitchen. The hosts did everything to make us feel comfortable. We highly appreciated little extras like umbrella, shopping bags, DVDs, guidebooks about Portugal, etc. The welcome gift they left for us (wine, beer, bread, juice and some other food items) was very helpful as we arrived around 9 pm and it was too late for shopping. We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets from our balcony and the access to the cliff trail nearby. Overall, we both felt like we had the perfect vacation in Algarve, which met all of our expectations. Wendy and Mario, thanks again for all of your efforts and hospitality!

The apartment is spacious and beautifully appointed, and the views are enchanting!! It is typically very quiet with the sound of waves and birdsong. Wendy & Mario are perfect hosts! The little town of Ferragudo has many good shops & restaurants. It is a nice 2-mile walk from the apartment either along the headlands trail (with several beaches along the way) or along the road. There is also a short-ish, easy-ish trail to Caneiros beach (gorgeous!). You can also drive there in one minute. We didn’t eat at the restaurant on that beach but it looked good and smelled delicious!

We found it confusing to find the apartment because there are many buildings and there is no signage indicating which building is which. Fortunately, Wendy & Mario were very kind and showed up very quickly after we expressed our confusion. (A map or signage would help.) Also, we just happened to be there during the grand re-opening of a restaurant/bar on a beach down the hill. They played loud obnoxious hip-hop Friday & Saturday day & night and because of the breeze it carried right up to our accommodation. (When the “music” wasn’t playing, it was blissfully quiet with the sound of waves and birdsong!)

Great location, super communication with the owners, apartment was very clean and well maintained. The owners provided a maid service after the first week of our 2 week stay. Highly recommend.

Wendy and Mario left us a lovely welcome pack - of rolls, milk, cheese and ham, as well as drinks - all of which were very much appreciated. Thank you!

The bed was a little uncomfortable. Also you definitely need a car to get around - so this needs to be made clear in the description.
