Edelweiss Residence

This is by far the most satisfying accommodation I’ve had during my multiple trips to Sri Lanka. The room is spacious, quiet, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable. The private entrance via a separate staircase ensures great privacy. Both the AC and WiFi worked perfectly, and the bathroom has reliable hot water. I particularly appreciated the fully equipped kitchenette, the abundance of power outlets, and the cozy seating area. The bed is large and super comfortable. The hosts and staff are wonderful—always ready to help with any request. It’s just a 5-6 minute walk to the main street and very close to the beach. Highly recommended!

It may use a solar water heater, so the water is a bit cooler in the mornings and evenings. Still, it was perfectly fine for me.

Room was spacious and bathroom was quite big. Located amidst greenery. Host was very nice, answered all our queries. He arranged transportation for us from Colombo. Walkable distance to Hikkaduwa beach and restaurants.

There was a cockroach and a spider in the bathroom. It could be because the hotel is in a garden.

Ein wirklich schönes und sehr gepflegtes Guesthouse, das wir sehr empfehlen können! Das Zimmer ist riesig, komfortabel und mit einer Küche ausgestattet, sodass es eher einem Appartement gleicht. Das Bett ist sehr groß und wir konnten bequem mit unserem neunjährigen Sohn zusammen darin schlafen.. Das Badezimmer ist groß und super ausgestattet. Insgesamt ist das ganze Anwesen sehr sauber und entspricht einem hohen Standard, was sich aber nicht im Preis niederschlägt, da dieser aus unserer Sicht sehr angemessen ist. Zudem ist es sehr ruhig und idyllisch gelegen, sodass man weder von der Hauptstraße noch vom Zug etwas mitbekommt, was in Hikkaduwa ja in den meisten Bereichen der Fall ist. Man benötigt dafür zwar etwas mehr Zeit zum Strand. Die paar Gehminuten sind aus unserer Sicht aber unerheblich, wenn man dafür in Ruhe schlafen kann 😊 Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen! 💚🌱

We are happy that we decided to stay at the Residence Edelweiss because of the great reviews. The appartement is surrounded by greenery, it's very quit and we wake up with the sound of birds. The walk to the beach takes only a few minutes. You are given a very personal welcome from the owner and immediately feel at home. We would have liked to extend our stay, but unfortunately this was not possible as the accommodation is very well booked. We will definately return here on our next stay in Hikkaduwa.

Rangana is a really good host. Helped in every situation. Everything was really clean. The apartment is perfect and peacefully. 7mins from beach .

Very clean and big bathroom , we had best time and only 120 klr on took took to center so it’s very easy to get there thank you

I stayed here with my wife for 1.5 months. It was important for me that there was a table in the room where I could work on my laptop. Perfect location of the house. 5-10 minutes walk from the Narigama beach. Very polite owner. Special thanks to Ranga for maintaining perfect cleanliness. In my opinion, this is the best choice in Hikkaduwa. I truly recommend Edelweiss Residence
