The second bedroom wasn’t as equipped as the rest of the apartment the bed was very uncomfortable and needs a topper/replacement Oven needs a clean

The living area was a little cold in the late afternoon before the heating came on

Excellent location, very clean and we had everything we needed. Great communication. Tea and coffee supplied along with shortbread and milk. We were very grateful for these after a long journey. Excellent restaurant recommendations.

Lovely apartment hence second time we have stayed. Nice size in the basement of a large period property. It’s the type of place you would be more than happy to spend the day if the weather was bad, unlike most hotel rooms. Great location with most things within walking distance I.e. the Castle, museums and galleries, the Royal Mile, and most importantly great shopping!!

The location is great. There are restaurants and shops around the corner and the city centre is a short walk away. The property is located on an quiet road. The apartment is stylish and comfortable.

The first evening was rather chilly as the heating (which is controlled by the host) was set to go off around 10pm. By midnight the living room was cold and so were we. After contacting the host by telephone, she agreed to give us control of the heating. More cupboards/drawers would have been appreciated in the bedrooms.

We absolutely loved the property. The Royal Terrace is an impressive setting. The apartment was clean and beautifully furnished and the towels were thick and smelt divine! It was perfect for 2 couples with 2 bathrooms and perfectly located for us as it is 15 mins walk from the city, the railway station and also if you want to climb Arthurs Seat with amazing views over Edinburgh. We would love to stay here again. Thank you
