Location was spot on!!

Very nice shower facilities, everything we needed was there in the kitchen, nice beds

Windows a bit thin, cold air and noise comes through, but I believe that is sort of expected in a historical building

Loved the location. The space was nice.

The stairs were an issue. Complimentary tea and coffee would have been really nice. An extra tea towel and a dish cloth should be available. If you are allowed to use the washing machine there should be laundry soap.

Location was great on the Royal Mile. Great view of a parade. Great water pressure and plenty of hot water

It was noisy at night due to people walking nearby qt 1 am and garbage pick up. The kitchen cabinets were a bit sticky and some of the dishes needed to be walked.

Great location and lots of space. If you plan on waking up at 10 am, you don't need to set an alarm, because the bagpipers start piping at 10 am sharp!

Lack of overall cleanliness. The trash bin in the bathroom contained the previous guest's bathroom trash. The oven was dirty, so we were actually afraid to use it. Some of the kitchen items were also dirty; we just washed what we used/needed to use and nothing else, so I don't know what else is still dirty. I asked the host to have his cleaning crew do something about it, so I hope nobody else is met with an unpleasant surprise. The kitchen stuff is low quality; I would expect something considerably better for the price of the flat. It's OK enough for preparing very simple meals but nothing beyond the simplest.
