"One of our fondest holiday memories!"

The location is just great, nearby the lake. We didn't have great weather, but it still was very nice and this holiday will remain one of our best ones. The cottage apparently has all the features of a decent Finnish country house: sauna, barbecue house, boat, hot tub, etc. It was a bit difficult to find at night (please note that the house number is 66C, with a C like in cabbage!... there is a 66A, too), so you might want to check-in with day light. Kirsi & Aki are wonderful hosts, very nice, warm and helpful, and they fixed very quickly everything that was not perfect from the start. Aki also provided precious assistance in the aftermath of a wood-chopping incident. 🙄

We were a bit surprised not to find a bathroom in the cottage: it is actually located in the sauna house! But who cares, right?... You just go there and that's it. The toilet is yet in another house. A bit distant/cold at night, but the concept of dry toilet is actually much nicer than it sounds (and not smelly at all). The additional fee for the bed linen and towels is probably explained by the fact that Kirsi & Aki live 30 km away from the cottage.
