"Simple, but practical if you have no issues with lots of stairs."

The property is in a central location in the heart of Syros. Despite this, it is very quiet, and there are no issues with noise. We loved strolling the streets each evening and enjoyed easy transport access if we wanted to visit beaches. If you are travelling via ferry, it's an easy walk from the port to the accommodation, which means you don't need to worry about transport to and from. The owner was extremely responsible and helpful and offered advice on the island.

I would not recommend it if you have an issue with stairs or difficulty carrying cases upstairs. There are three flights of stairs to the top, which can be difficult when self-checking in. Also, the stairs would be difficult for anyone struggling with moderate fitness, especially in heat. Also, the property balcony has no shading and is not very private, so if you are planning to spend time on the balcony, please consider that you have other properties watching, and there is no protection from the sun. This wasn't an issue for us as we didn't spend time in our room, but if you plan to, it would be good to know.

If you were older, there are a lot of stairs and no lift. So luggage is a problem…

Excellent location, especially for those that are visiting the island without a car. In the centre of Ermoupolis near the town hall square, with options for coffee, food and shops. The apartment has a beautiful view of Ano Syros. I definitely recommend it. Thomas is very kind and will make sure that you have a wonderful stay.

Can get noisy at night due to the taverns just next to the apartment.

"very nice modern studio"

nice, quite small but modern and clean studio apartment with new equipment; huge terrace with picturesque view to the mountain and the churches,; good wifi; communicative host; very central location, supermarkets just "at the corner", 10 minutes walk to the ferry terminal, restaurants and bars just downstairs

very thin entrance door, everything what happens at the office on the 1st floor can be heard inside the apartment; not the most comfortable solution for the table; hot water is weather dependent, just ask the host what to do, when it's cloudy
