Quality of furniture and decor as well as location

The top floor location was a little tricky for my mother in law.

We couldn’t find the property as we didn’t receive the street address. All communication had been by email but the final details were sent by what’s app which we couldn’t access. It took numerous phone calls over a period of three hours before we could access the property. There also had been no mention of six flights of stairs to get to the apartment!

The location was great, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was nice. The tub was nice and we loved having 3 bathrooms.

There were a lot of stairs up to the apartment.

The entire property was clean and comfortable. It was well fitted out and was quite large for the two of us. It was well situated in Edinburgh and one could walk to the shops and restaurants as well as the touristy attractions if wished. Although we knew Edinburgh from previously living in the area, we still reacquainted ourselves with the Royal Mile, the castle and Holyrood palace with ease. I would highly recommend this property.

The only draw back of the property is the stairs, There are 5 flights of stairs, and if one has problems with stairs this may not be the place for them. Although we had no problems climbing stairs, our taxi driver was a tremendous help in carrying the heavy luggage up those stairs. I don't think we would have gotten them up there without help. Maybe any potential renter could be asked if they might need help getting luggage up the stairs and maybe some arrangement could then be put in place to assist in that. It would help tremendously.
