Prinspoort Klein Karoo Stay

The location is a tricky one; it is in the middle of nowhere which brings positives (serenity of nature, star gazing) but also the negatives of no cell-phone reception on the road to drive to the property. Be sure to download a map so it can be viewed offline, and use the exact pin location with gps coordinates, given by the property manager a few days before your stay. The house itself was very comfortable with large spacious rooms and electric blankets to ward off the cold Karoo nights. Linens and comfort of the beds were excellent. We had a plumbing issue, but that was sorted out quickly on a weekend day.

As it was very chilly, (Mid July) dropping to -2 at night, having additional panel heaters in the bedrooms and living spaces would have been better. We HAD to make a fire indoors for warmth, and unfortunately some of the wood supplied was very "green" and therefore damp and hard to light. Another plus would be to have doors on the showers! I think 2 of the 4 showers had no glass walls, which makes it chilly! Other small things that would be nice are: a small rubbish bin in all of the bedrooms and bathrooms, and a small amount of cooking oil in the kitchen.

Well appointed rambling, comfortable old farmhouse. Loved the fireplaces. Very comfortable beds. Views from the stoep were beautiful. Lovely area to explore.

Beautiful stay, comfortable beds, peaceful with beautiful views. Only issue was WiFi was very weak.

This is a well-equipped, almost colonial style house with a wide, shaded veranda and little splash pool.. It has plenty of space to eat outside overlooking the Klein Karoo and is quiet and peaceful. Our host was very helpful in providing directions and very generous in the goodies she provided.

Sadly, this is no longer a working farm in the way it once was. Hiking trails were limited for older folk who just want a stroll but this refers more to the terrain than the accommodation.

loved the uniqueness of the chalet. everything had been well though out and lots of extras were added to make this a very memorable stay. the homemade biscuits, cereal and milk provided. the honesty wine bar, the fresh flowers on the table

a map may be easier to read as the distances and buildings described were a bit confusing. (The main house has the same walls and gate etc)

The isolation of the place was exactly what I wanted. Jana checked in with me constantly without being in our space. The welcoming sherry, bread and cheese was a classy touch. The accommodation provided for all our needs.
