Harlingen oldtown apartment

Es war wunderbar und unkompliziert. Eine außergewöhnliche Wohnung.

The apartment is situated on a pretty pedestrian street in the centre of Harlingen with a great choice of shops, cafes, restaurants within easy walking distance. There is also a well stocked supermarket close by. The apartment is very bright and spacious. The Waddenpromenade is an interesting place to sit and watch the many different size and styles of boats navigate the waterways.

Although the pictures of the inside of the property are reliable, we had expected a more direct view of the sea based on the property description which described the property as having a terrace with stunning sea views when in reality the front of the property overlooks the street and the the rear of the property overlooks the rear of other properties and is surrounded by kitchen exhaust chimneys from the neighbouring restaurants. The staircase up to the apartment and bedrooms are very steep with narrow treads. We appreciate this is probably typical of the design for a house of it’s time but thought travellers with mobility issues would want to be aware of this.

Die Treppen in die erste und zweite Etage sind sehr steil.
