I visited Malcesine for a wedding at the castle. The location of the apartment was amazing, and Michele was a wonderful host. The apartment is exactly as described and it was a perfect base for my week in the town. I was a bit nervous about not having a/c but the tiled floor and fans kept me perfectly comfortable, even when it was well over 30C outside. The shower also had great water pressure, which you don’t always find in older buildings. There’s a short walk to both the Monte Baldo cable car and the port, and so many little streets to explore right outside the apartment. There’s also a small but very well stocked Spar just outside the pedestrian area. I travelled alone but the apartment is plenty big enough for 3-4 people.

My only improvements would be the provision of some light cleaning products (i.e. to wipe kitchen surfaces down after cooking, spare bin bags), tea towels a chopping board and oven mitts. I cooked all my own meals for the week and these were the things I missed/went and bought.

There is no air conditioning in the apartment, you must have the windows open. The problem is that the apartment is on the first floor and there are people shouting on the street under the open windows until 2-3 in the morning. There are no appliances or curtains in both bedrooms.
