Here is a very honest review... The place, although a bit small, is very attractive and we felt very safe in what is obviously a good zone. The apartment has four fans and three A/C units which is more than enough (we didn't even need the A/C, but it was in April). We were there to see the eclipse of 2024 and so were just using the apartment as a place to crash at night and as a "base of operations". If that is what you are looking for, we really recommend this place. It is well-located, reasonably close to the beach and to town and to convenience stores that can provide whatever you need. The check-in and check-out times were very inflexible but that is fair. The place had more benefits than we even used (we didn't use the apartment pool, the washer, etc.) yet we still felt like we got our money's worth. If you are looking for a place with somewhat limited sleeping arrangements (see: the "what we didn't like" section) but want a clean, well-maintained apartment that is well-located for a reasonable price, this is what you are looking for!

The only downside to an otherwise great option was the sleeping accomodations. I am a big dude (6'4", 275 lbs) so there was not enough room for my wife and I to share the main bedroom. She ended up (voluntarily!) sleeping on the living room couch while our 10 year old son slept on the small bed in the second bedroom. Everything worked out ok and we really enjoyed the place (and recommend it!) but we did want to add this in order to be as clear as possible.

I liked the swimming pool.The location is great if you are just planing to go to the Brujas beach and Punta Cerritos beach which are about 7 minutes walk from the appartment. However, Mazatlan’s main attractions such as Aquarium, El Faro, Observatory 1873, Plazuela Machado, City center, etc., are very far, it can take ~45 minutes drive to reach these places.

Uber driver did not know the location of the building, so I sent a message on WhatsApp to the property management to verify the address of the apartment with an image of google maps and they never answered me. When we arrived at the apartment, we smelled something musty. Turns out, the bath towels were clean, folded but damp. We reported the problem and the towels were changed. However, at night, we noticed that the sheets of the beds and covers of the pillows were also wet, they were not fully dry. I had to put them on the chairs in the living room to dry overnight. Also the pool towels were wet, I reported the problem with the management company and they told me they will send me dry towels but 3 days passed and they never arrived. Property management company should improve customer service.
