The location was brilliant because we had a sea view and it wasn't far to walk to the shops and pubs we are out

Lift we had to walk up and down steps three times and the fire alarm waking us up at one o'clock in the morning beeping

The location of the apartment was excellent, it is right on the seafront opposite the Eric Morecambe statue. It is close to pubs, cafes, restaurants and the promenade and stone jetty. The layout of the apartment is modern and pleasant. There is an island with a hob, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, so all the facilities required for a few days away.

Unfortunately the broadband was not accessible the whole time we were at the apartment. The network did not appear on any of our devices. I emailed the contact for the apartment and it was reset to no avail. This was around 4pm on the Friday and had no further contact all weekend so assumed I had contacted an office. There was a cable with a network connection in the bedroom into the building through the window frame so unsure whether that was supposed to be plugged into a smart plug or something but there wasn’t anything there to plug into. We needed broadband so it was lucky we could connect to a BT hotspot but if we hadn’t it would have impacted on our stay.

The location was amazing. The decor was really lovely and it had everything you could need.

It would be handy to have had a grab bar on the bathroom wall to help with getting in and out of the shower.

The apartment was in a great location with lots of natural light, looking out over the beach and with places to eat and grocery shops all around. It was well presented and clean, and the process of getting the keys was simple. It has a dishwasher and washing machine so was suited to a longer stay. Bin storage is clearly marked and residents in the building were quiet and considerate. Staying here was excellent value compared to nearby hotels.

The television was broken (host has been notified and was not aware at the time of our stay) and the mattress incredibly firm - as side sleepers, this meant several nights of poor sleep and sore shoulders. As the apartment is right next to a road, traffic can be heard at night. The curtains are not blackout and so lots of light enters the bedroom - fabulous during the day, not so fabulous at 7am!
