Hikka Lagoon

I stayed here for 3 consecutive days and I was planning my wedding. When I was having a chat with mr priyantha waduge(owner), I told him that tomorrow will be a really busy day as it is day prior to my wedding. It was just a chat. Next day, I was really surprised to see a complete Sri Lankan set meals are being prepared just for me(as my preference is for Sri lankan food). Trust me , it was the complete meal I had untill my wedding is finished. Really friendly hosts, fantastic location and it is hidden gem

The location is wonderfull , with a lovely view on the lagoon. Very quiet and fresh air. The room was very clean , bed comfortable with a good matress.The bathroom big with goodlooking design and very good shower with hot water. Breakfast, served at your terrace , was good and filling. Above all the owners of this place are a caring and interesting couple. Both fluent in English and always make time for a good conversation. Not only small talk but also more serious matters were on the table. Thanks for that. Price quality 10 plus !

There can not be one single complain. I twas a pity that i did no see a crocodile 😜..

Room was large and fantastic and even had access to a kitchen where there was a fridge to cool your water. Hot water on demand in bathroom and one of the nicest finished bathrooms that we have seen in our Sri Lankan trip. Beautiful view onto the lake and so peaceful. Hosts were very nice and accommodating. Great cooking for dinner.

Nothing and if something comes up the host will make it right.

Excellent stay just beside or in front of a lake. Nice views. Quiet and pleasant environment. The owner family was extremely cooperative. Delicious breakfast. Clean room and other facilities. They arrange boat safari on request. Nice place to enjoy with family. Unfortunately we stayed one night only.

Absolutely amazing and quiet place with neighbors such as iguanas, squirrels, beautiful flying bats. Perfect for introverts ☺️

There’s nothing

This was an amazing stay. The Mayor of Hikkaduwa owns this place with his family. The rooms face the lake and it was just beautiful. Away from the madness of downtown we were able to relax and just enjoy the place. They are super happy to help you organise tours and very free with information about the surrounding area. Breakfast was incredible. I love the SriLankan breakfast. Close enough to Gale if you have a car to drive in and have a look around.

The only bad thing was we stayed just one night. We'll come back for a longer stay next time. Do not miss this one!

This is exquisite. A stunning stay. Coming home (if only:-)). We stayed in the appartement with two rooms with their separate bathrooms, and a kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped and provides a comfy place to come together. The bedrooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. And then, there is the lagoon. The view. It is right at the (green and pleasant) garden with direct swimming access. Beach is close by. It is just all incredible and I felt like royalty. The hosts will do all they can to provide you with the best and can arrange many things. The breakfast is amazing and very generous. It is a quiet location. I highly recommend.

Very carrying owner family that run their own little paradise place at the water of the lagoon. For us speaking one of the best places we could have found in Hikkaduwa. Amazing spacious and clean rooms with all extras one could need. Amazing open Terrasse with garden. We felt really like at home! Very quiet place, relax your mind. Rent a Kayak for a paddle through the lake. Breakfast delicious and plenty! We have a good time here thanks! Great open kitchen with sea view too.

Spacious clean modern room and bathroom and small kitchen. Good pillows and linen resulting in a good nights sleep. Very peaceful and beautiful location, tucked away by the side of the lake away from the busy beach areas. Hosts very nice and keen to ensure that you have everything required.
